Friday’s Favs – Yellow Sak BagJune 29th, 2012I’m one of those girls WHO doesn’t much care what type of bag she carries as long as it matches. I’m a shoe girl! I’m one of those girls WHO doesn’t much care what type of bag she carries as long as it matches. I’m a shoe girl! So typically for as long as I can remember I pretty much have always carried a simple black bag on an everyday basis (summer or winter). This past winter, I walked into TJMaxx (as I often do after a client meeting, which I conveniently try to always schedule at the Panera located next to a TJMaxx), and right there up front was this gorgeous The SAK bag. I’m typically not an impulse shopper (who am I kidding, I totally I AM an impulse shopper, geez). The color was so amazing that I had to own it. Didn’t even consider what I was going to wear it with or that it would be an everyday bag, I loved it so much. As soon as it got nice, I broke it out into the regular everyday wear, and to my shock it matched everything I wore, and I wasn’t even trying to match it. Also, it might not be that it matches everything, it just might be that it goes with everything. Look below for yourself, it’s kinda magical. I was going for 30 days of my bag but everyone kinda got tired of me asking them to take my picture so here are 16, you get the point. On a little side note, at least one item of clothing in each of the images below came from THE thrift store. And probably all added together cost less than my bag, hilarious. Enjoy your weekend, peeps, and remember there are colors out there other than the simple classic black! xoxo

When I met these two downtown Akron, I didn’t know what was in store for me. We started off in the Lock 3 area and wandered around from there. Cholly and Matt live in Columbus but will be getting married here in the Akron area, at Conrad Botzum to be exact. The day of our shoot, they had some other appointments in the morning and when they were heading toward downtown they noticed a “carnival”. They shared with me that it might be fun to check it out. From their description of where the carnival was, I was a bit worried. But of course I LOVE adventure, even if it is a bit scary and I am carrying around 10K of equipment on me. But since Matt is a very manly man, I felt quite safe and the second part of our session took place at the said “shady carnival.” We I had the best time! We played skee-ball, got to ride the merry-go-round, drank some lemonade, and walked around looking awkward. It really was the BEST time.
Cholly and Matt are very artsy! Cholly works for Abercrombie & Fitch as a designer and Matt is a graphic designer. I think this session fits them perfectly! Not to mention the way they both look at each other is priceless! I heart them mucho!
so much fun on the Mary-Go-Round!
leave them some love and “like” JaNicki Photography on the FB.

You might remember my friend Arielle, she’s modeled for me a few times. Not only is she gorgeous, she is also an amazing photographer. Recently she purchased a new camera . . . a FILM camera. A Contax 645. In order to get familiar with it, she asked another gorgeous friend of ours Amanda and her husband Ilario to be her test subjects. I came along to photograph Ari with her FANCY new toy as well as Amanda and Ilario when she was changing out the rolls of film in her camera. Check out Ari in action and watch the blog tomorrow for some shots of our oh so smoking models.
