Get ready for a big post!!! Typically I post about 10-15 images from an engagement session but this was totally out of the question for this session. It was impossible to narrow down and there are still so many other favorites that I just couldn’t fit into this post.
Amanda and Mark wanted to use their 1962 Oldsmobile 88 Dynamic for the session, which I was thrilled about. The car belonged to Mark’s grandfather, who bought it new back in the day and drove it to work on a regular basis for years, then parked it in the garage. After Mark’s grandfather passed the car went to Mark. It is in tip top shape with only about 80,000 miles. It spends most of its time in the garage but on the day of this session it got a ton of action. We were all over it. It will take part in their wedding day in August as well, fun stuff.
The inspiration for this shoot was, of course, the car but we wanted it to be a bit more. So we decided to make it more of a “styled shoot” with the premise being that Mark and Amanda are out for a Sunday drive and stop to have a picnic. When they get back from the road trip they have to wash the car. The twist to this story is that Mark and Amanda actually met while working at a Car Wash in high school. I felt it was very appropriate and it gave them an opportunity to have fun and be themselves.
So sit back and enjoy! and leave them some love! they are too cute for words and the car is stunning
