It was a cold but sunny day when I met Kellye and Zack for their engagement session last weekend! The snow on the ground still made it look like winter but the sun made everyone happy and the pictures prove it! Kellye and Zack will be getting married this September and I’m so very excited to be a part of such a special day for the two of them. It is quite obvious how much they adore each other, and how excited they are for their wedding day.

When I met these two downtown Akron, I didn’t know what was in store for me. We started off in the Lock 3 area and wandered around from there. Cholly and Matt live in Columbus but will be getting married here in the Akron area, at Conrad Botzum to be exact. The day of our shoot, they had some other appointments in the morning and when they were heading toward downtown they noticed a “carnival”. They shared with me that it might be fun to check it out. From their description of where the carnival was, I was a bit worried. But of course I LOVE adventure, even if it is a bit scary and I am carrying around 10K of equipment on me. But since Matt is a very manly man, I felt quite safe and the second part of our session took place at the said “shady carnival.” We I had the best time! We played skee-ball, got to ride the merry-go-round, drank some lemonade, and walked around looking awkward. It really was the BEST time.
Cholly and Matt are very artsy! Cholly works for Abercrombie & Fitch as a designer and Matt is a graphic designer. I think this session fits them perfectly! Not to mention the way they both look at each other is priceless! I heart them mucho!
so much fun on the Mary-Go-Round!
leave them some love and “like” JaNicki Photography on the FB.

First, meet Aricka & Andrew, for their session we decided to head downtown Canton. They grew up in Canton and they enjoy the “downtown” atmosphere so it made sense. It was one of those crazy hot Saturdays but we walked around and found some fun spots to shoot. Aricka not only has some super awesome curly hair she also has a super fun style. Come on ladies how great are those shoes and the dress? right? Andrew, of course, is a doll. :O) I had the best time with them and can’t wait for their wedding day, 3 very short weeks away! Enjoy!

Danielle and Dave are one of the first couples that booked me for the 2012 season and thank goodness, because their date (Sept. 29th) has been the most requested date this year. They are adorable and I can not be happier to be a part of their special day come this September. Don’t let these sweet faces fool you, Dave practices Jujitsu, and from what I hear is quite good at it, and Danielle is training for the upcoming Cleveland Half marathon. So they are a couple active and gorgeous folks. And yes I love her jacket, it’s from H&M, I must run out and get one.
For their session we decided to head out to Mapleside Farms on one of these amazing weekends we’ve been having lately. It was too much fun! Check it out!

We decided to meet up in Chagrin Falls for this E session the Sunday before Valentines Day. It was a very nice day and Kitty & Matt brought along their sweet black lab who was super excited to be out and about ;o). Matt is a history teacher and Kitty works for Depaul University, they live in Chicago but will be getting married here in Ohio. After the session we grabbed lunch at Dave’s Cosmic Subs (Yum-O) and discussed some of the details for the wedding. It will be a vintage theme at Botzum Farmstead with doilies, milk bottles, vests and more. I can hardly wait for July 9th, this wedding will be amazing and these guys are just too cute. Enjoy your sneak peek!
