Tyler – Cake Smash | Akron Children Photographer

November 2nd, 2011

Tyler is by far the happiest baby ever!  He doesn’t cry, he doesn’t fuss, he’s just perfect.  If was love at first sight when I first met him for his newborn session an entire year ago.  He was perfect then and he didn’t disappoint the second time around.  Seriously, just look at him  . . [...]

Tyler is by far the happiest baby ever!  He doesn’t cry, he doesn’t fuss, he’s just perfect.  If was love at first sight when I first met him for his newborn session an entire year ago.  He was perfect then and he didn’t disappoint the second time around.  Seriously, just look at him  . . . such a stinkin’ cutie!

Everything started off great, we took some shots in his little man outfit . . . blah blah blah.  Then the cake came out and as I was trying to photograph it before it got smashed, Tyler was already going for it.  Mom literally had to hold him back so I could get my shot.  And once he finally got his little hands on it, there was no stopping him.  The cutest thing I’ve ever seen.  I think he was looking at us like . . . “um, I don’t think I’m allowed to do this, but you’re not stopping me, soooooooo”.

Happy 1st Birthday Sweet Tyler!!!

Baby Cam has been on the blog quite a few times now, I dare to say she’s my most photographed baby.  The first time I met the P family Cam was only 3 months old and now she is 2 years old . . . wow, amazing how fast time flies!  It has been an absolute pleasure watching her grow into this sweet little girl.  This time around we had both sets of grandparents involved in the shoot and even though it rained we still managed to get some fun shots.

Friday’s Favs – Salvo Randazzo

July 29th, 2011

It’s been a few weeks since I posted something in the Friday’s Favs category, honestly I just wasn’t feeling like talking about favs lately and the workload has been quite heavy.  But this is totally worthy so here goes: Ever hear of Mario Lanza, Andrea Boccelli and even Sergio Franchi?  Yes?  Well add one more [...]

It’s been a few weeks since I posted something in the Friday’s Favs category, honestly I just wasn’t feeling like talking about favs lately and the workload has been quite heavy.  But this is totally worthy so here goes:

Ever hear of Mario Lanza, Andrea Boccelli and even Sergio Franchi?  Yes?  Well add one more name to that list…Salvo Randazzo!  On Saturday night my husband and I decided to go to “Festa Italiana” in Cuyahoga Falls to listen to Salvo Randazzo.  Oh my word, I had no idea what I would be getting myself into.  As the show started the most beautiful voice came out of the speakers and the most stunning man stepped on the stage.  My heart was stolen right there and then.  To say that Salvo is AMAZING, doesn’t even do him a bit of justice.  He has the voice and looks of an ANGEL, a Sicilian Angel . . . and is a beautiful person on the inside as well.  His accent isn’t too bad either ;) .  After the show, I ran down to purchase his CD and of course get an autograph.  He was so very nice and even took a quick picture.  He was scheduled to sing again on Sunday and I wasn’t going to miss it for the world.  So we returned, this time with my professional camera in hand.  We sat at the bottom steps and enjoyed every single minute and snapped a few shots.  Salvo was passing out roses that night and I was one of the lucky recipients, bonus!!

Salvo is an Italian tenor who at 27 has gone though a near death experience and is a huge promoter of the fight against cancer.  He’s so sensitive, as all Italians are (so my Italian husband claims) and shed a few tears on stage as he will not be returning next year to the festival.  We will truly miss him next year, but I know that there is a bright future ahead for him.  Mi piacciono Salvo Randazzo-E` forte!  Ciao baci!

So if you missed him at the Festa Italiana, I highly recommend checking out his website, and definitely “liking” his fb page!

Here are a few shots from Sunday! the detail shots were my husband’s idea - I have to give him props!  The shoe shot is my fav, thanks babe!

Julia | Akron Children & Family Photographer

June 28th, 2011

I’ve had a chance to photograph Julia a couple times already.  When she was 6 months, 1 year and now at 18 months.  This cutie pie is only getting cuter, sweeter and more fun, if that is even possible.  She was such a good sport as we looked for new shooting locations and walked around [...]

And one of big brother Thor.  This guy is such a nice boy, and such a huge baby, and he has the softest ears = LOVE!

Friday’s Favs – Thrifting Part 2

On monday I had an extra 20 minutes before meeting a friend for coffee and the thrift store was on the way.  Well . . . . couldn’t resist.  Sometimes thrifting is best in a hurry simply because there is not enough time to get overwhelmed by massive amount of stuff.  It’s a quick scan [...]

On monday I had an extra 20 minutes before meeting a friend for coffee and the thrift store was on the way.  Well . . . . couldn’t resist.  Sometimes thrifting is best in a hurry simply because there is not enough time to get overwhelmed by massive amount of stuff.  It’s a quick scan through the store.  Personally that’s my shopping strategy most of the time anyway.  It definitely worked well this last time.  Liz Claiborne sandals for $4 and a brand new, with a $68 price tag, Anthropologie skirt for $5.  Check it out:
