Pav’s Creamery – Akron, OH

April 17th, 2012

I’ve talked about my fav Ice Cream/Custard stand (Pav’s Creamery) before here, and when the owner asked me to photograph some of their products I could not have been happier.   They are creating a new website and that’s what these images are for.  Actually I’m taste testing, as I type this post, “Nuts Over Coconut” [...]

I’ve talked about my fav Ice Cream/Custard stand (Pav’s Creamery) before here, and when the owner asked me to photograph some of their products I could not have been happier.   They are creating a new website and that’s what these images are for.  Actually I’m taste testing, as I type this post, “Nuts Over Coconut” ice cream!  It’s so amazing, no wonder they were named “Akron’s Best Ice Cream in 2011″.

If you’re hungry don’t look cause you might become HANGRY!  xoxo

This sweet pup just happened to be there enjoying a vanilla cone at the time of the shoot, how perfect and sweet is she?  She’s a Cane Corso,  and after a swim in a near by lake came in for a cone.  Of course I couldn’t help myself and took a ton of shots of her.  I love that her ears haven’t been clipped and to me she looks like a lab/pit mix. :O)

Friday’s Favs – Easter Bunnies

April 6th, 2012

If you’ve been following the blog you know about my LOVE for my dog, Baci.  Today is nine months since we lost him and a day does not go by where I don’t think about and miss him terribly.  That being said, this week I’ve been house/dog sitting 3 of my girlfriend’s pups.  It was [...]

If you’ve been following the blog you know about my LOVE for my dog, Baci.  Today is nine months since we lost him and a day does not go by where I don’t think about and miss him terribly.  That being said, this week I’ve been house/dog sitting 3 of my girlfriend’s pups.  It was nice to be around these guys. I would also like to say that I have this thing for dressing dogs, from the day we got Baci I was dressing him.  It first started with small stuff like sunglasses or maybe a baseball hat and grew to full Halloween costumes with wigs, halos, wings, antlers, etc.. He was even a photographer at one point. I don’t know why but it cracks me up to see animals (especially dogs) dressed up, perhaps I should talk with someone about this obsession. Or perhaps not having children at the age of 37 might have something to do with it :) . Regardless, I’d love to share some really cute/adorable bunnies with you!

While house sitting I couldn’t help but dress these 3 up and since Easter is this weekend the timing couldn’t be more perfect.  Creating these images was the highlight of my week. They make me smile and laugh every time I look at them.  Barney is the older golden retriever with the purple bunny ears, Rookie is the “girl puppy”, and Koda of course is the husky.  I was so proud of them, they did awesome and believe it or not they had fun too!!!  The moral of this story is “if you leave me home alone with your dog/dogs, they will get dressed up and I will take their picture”.  I can’t help myself, sorry!  Happy Easter, Peeps!  Hope you laugh as much as I did!  Anyone interested in a doggie/dressup sesh, I’m always up for it! xoxo

When first editing this session I started calling these guys, “The Gang”.  After staring at their little faces for a week, I had to change it to “Little Rascals”.  They have such distinct personalities, that it just seemed more fitting.  Little Rascals are all senior pups, they all love each other, and they have all been rescued by the sweetest two people you could ever meet.  Brooke and Colin have huge hearts and have provided the best home for them, and these guys now it.  They all have the best names too, from left to right meet Penelope, Sheldon, Rosie and Oliver.  Enjoy and leave these Little Rascals some blog love by leaving a comment!  Also, how awesome is Rosie’s hooded coat?  I can barely take the cuteness!

This is what I call a gorgeous family. Meet the adorable Andrea and Adam and their fur kids, Timber & Hazel.  They have actually been on the blog before a couple years ago, last time we had snow this time it was a gorgeous fall afternoon and even dad got to join in on the fun.   Andrea is one of the many super talented women that are part of the knitting group that I belong to and yes the sweater she is wearing is her latest masterpiece.  It’s amazing and the color is just perfect!  To see more of Andrea’s work, check out her knitting blog.  I’m might even give this sweater a shot, it’s too cute.
