Maddie is ONE – hooray!!!! Time surely does fly, it seems like it was just yesterday when I did her newborn session. A year has flown by and she has grown into such a big and silly girl. We were lucky to have a gorgeous day to play! And play we did . . . to celebrate this huge milestone!
Of course there had to be a bit of cake smashing to make the day complete!!!

Tyler is by far the happiest baby ever! He doesn’t cry, he doesn’t fuss, he’s just perfect. If was love at first sight when I first met him for his newborn session an entire year ago. He was perfect then and he didn’t disappoint the second time around. Seriously, just look at him . . . such a stinkin’ cutie!
Everything started off great, we took some shots in his little man outfit . . . blah blah blah. Then the cake came out and as I was trying to photograph it before it got smashed, Tyler was already going for it. Mom literally had to hold him back so I could get my shot. And once he finally got his little hands on it, there was no stopping him. The cutest thing I’ve ever seen. I think he was looking at us like . . . “um, I don’t think I’m allowed to do this, but you’re not stopping me, soooooooo”.

It is so nice when past clients grow their families and invite me to capture these precious moments. I’ve photographed this family a few times already (here, and here) and this was definitely such a special treat to meet the new little man Rory. He was 8 days old for his first photo session. Weighing it at only 7 pounds after a home birth, he was just perfect. See for yourself:

Today instead of Friday’s Favs you get this post, hope you enjoy it!
On the morning of this session I called my friend/client Fiovi to inquire about our session, it was kind of a last minute thing. She says to me “I have a couple ideas, I don’t know how you’re going to feel about them? I have a few outfits I want to put him in”. Ok, I like ideas and outfits! She continues “I have a “Made in Akron” shirt for him also I was thinking Rowan could wear his Knight costume and I could be the princess in my wedding gown in a couple of them”. Ok, still like the idea! What she failed to tell me was that the 3 year old portrait session was about to turn into a trash the dress session for Mom. LOL!!! I was totally bamboozled, and I loved it!!
I’ve photographed Rowan twice. First time a year ago for his second birthday and than at Christmas time for holiday cards. Both times I needed a nap after the session. What a huge difference a year makes, Rowan was the best little model and such a cutie. Here he’s showing me he’s 3 and ready to move out! Love this kid!
Then it was time for the second outfit, and yes he was “made in Akron”.

Today, instead of the regular Friday’s Favs post, I’ll be showing a session from last weekend. It was with the winner of the cutest kids contest that I had at the end of the year. The winner was this little guy, Ronan (he’s a fav for sure). I first photographed Ronan last fall with his parents, his horses and his doggies. This time it was just him and some of his furry friends. It was his 2nd birthday on the 7th, so the timing was perfect. He is the sweetest, happiest most laid back kid I’ve ever met!! The pictures with the kitty are super special. Slim, his kitty that had been missing for 2 years, decided to come back recently. He showed up pretty beat up, but this family will definitely get him back in tip top shape in no time. It looks like he and Ronan are the best of buds already. I had a blast! Looking forward to seeing everyone again in October when there will be a new addition to this super fun bunch! little baby brother – yay!!

of course I couldn’t resist getting some shots of these gorgeous horses, Jazzie, Samie, and Raven. it was the first time meeting Jazzie and I just can’t believe how unbelievably stunning she is!
