Last month I got to work with one of my fav’s, Arielle Doneson Photography and oh my gosh was it amazing! We started the day at St. Barbara Church in Massillon then headed off to the bride’s family farm for some fun shots. Lana’s family, among other things, grows soy beans. I actually learned something that day! I learned that soy beans are grown in Ohio and then sent to Japan where they become Edamame and then come back to the US. Pretty crazy stuff but I do love me some Edamame!!! It was so fun shooting some images in the field of soy beans!
The reception was at the lovely Executive Event Center in Canton. During the reception both the bride and groom’s fathers cried during their speaches as did the best man and maid of honor. It was such a special part of the day. But the best part of the night had to have been when Lana’s grandfather auctioned off the first piece of cake. It was a “real” auction, I think it ended up going for about $1800 not bad for a piece of half eaten cake . . . huh?
Some of my favorites from the day, enjoy!
