I’m in the process of redoing my bathroom and decided to make a trip to IKEA this past weekend. I adore Pittsburgh, so I got the bright idea to do a little mini shoot there. I asked my friend and fellow photog, Kalyn, if she would be up for it. Well she said yes and the rest is history. She was kind enough to take my pictures too and they can me seen here, on her site. Btw, we did finally make it to IKEA, ate some delicious meatballs, lingonberry sauce, chocolate cake and drank the best coffee on earth. Then we shopped till we dropped, almost literally. Thanks K, xoxo!!!

Fridays Favs – Pinterest againFebruary 17th, 2012Why, Social Media as well as Pinterest are the greatest? A couple days ago I found this most amazingly delicious looking photo with the most delicious sounding recipe for red velvet crapes on Pinterest! I couldn’t help myself, so I pined it to my “food” board (which honestly should just be called “chocolate obsession”). Anywho, [...] |

A couple days ago I found this most amazingly delicious looking photo with the most delicious sounding recipe for red velvet crapes on Pinterest! I couldn’t help myself, so I pined it to my “food” board (which honestly should just be called “chocolate obsession”). Anywho, that wasn’t quite enough I also tweeted it and liked it to my facebook page. You want to know what happened next right? I thought so. I had every intention and still will make these myself! My favorite breakfast place owner is a facebook friend. Guess what peeps? I will be enjoying these tomorrow morning at Flury’s and I didn’t even have to leave my desk to make it happen. And I didn’t even make it happen on purpose. I LOVE you PINTEREST, FACEBOOK, TWITTER!!! and I LOVE you Kim White!!!
Follow all my boards here and this delish recipe can be found here. Happy belated Valentine’s Day my loves!

When I first met Paula almost a year ago and she mentioned that she was interested in a session, I was thrilled. Paula is the owner and milliner of What a Great Hat, which is located in Fairlawn. She designs and creates all these amazing hats and also travels to shows around the country to show off and sell her masterpieces. As soon as I saw the hats I knew that my friend, Arielle, would be the perfect model for this little project. Indeed I was corrected, she’s an absolute natural and looks fantastic in every single different one. Some of the clothes that Arielle is wearing are from NOTO. Lauren from NOTO teamed up with Paula to create these amazing looks for Arielle. Huge thanks to everyone involved in this project, I think we really rocked it!!!
you may also find these great vendors on Facebook, What a Great Hat and NOTO. Enjoy!

Fridays Favs – New Sample AlbumFebruary 10th, 2012I’m so excited to share my new wedding sample album! It’s glorious – the pictures don’t even do it justice! There are even 30 different gorgeous leathers or faux leathers to choose from for the cover. It comes in a black box for storage. The name stamping on the spine is absolutely my favorite, but [...] |
I’m so excited to share my new wedding sample album! It’s glorious – the pictures don’t even do it justice! There are even 30 different gorgeous leathers or faux leathers to choose from for the cover. It comes in a black box for storage. The name stamping on the spine is absolutely my favorite, but it can also go on the front and even include the wedding date. And, of course, I love the picture on the cover. An amazing book!!! Really looking forward to ordering quite a few of these this year!
If you missed Matt & Kitty’s wedding last year, can check it out here! Have a great weekend everyone!

Fridays Favs – Bayside PulloverFebruary 3rd, 2012More knitting . . . what can I say I caught a bug lately. A couple weeks ago I posted about a new sweater I just finished. Today is the next one. More knitting . . . what can I say I caught a bug lately. A couple weeks ago I posted about a new sweater I just finished. Today is the next one. The Bayside Pullover was so much fun to knit, I used every inch of the yarn and the sleeve are almost full length. For this sweater I decided to use a sport weight yarn in a crazy yellow shade called “buttery”. My favorite color to knit has always been any shade in the blue family, so knitting yellow was quite a stretch. The next sweater I have on my needles in a “latte”, color again a stretch but very versicle for the wardrobe.
While having the mini session with my friend Arielle, she snapped a couple photos of my new creation, loving those cables. Thank you Ari! photos courtesy Arielle Doneson Photography!
