Precious little Charlie was only 6 days old for his newborn shoot, he did amazing! Such a sleepy little guy! We had so much fun changing him into lots of different outfits, he didn’t mind a bit. Enjoy!
Sachin & Nikhil were already 1 month old for their session but since they were preemies, they did great! Sachin is the bigger guy who was really super sleepy and Nikhil wasn’t sleeping much but gave me THE best little smiles. Enjoy these precious guys and try to figure out who is who in the individual shots! Also, how cute are they in their Michigan gear? love, love
I love when my wedding clients start having babies. Blake is one of those babies and he was a dream to photograph at only 9 days old. He was born just 1 day after Christmas, Santa photos were definitely a must. Also, his grandma made a lot of the knitted pieces featured, he wanted to make her happy and let us change him over and over. He, seriously, couldn’t have been a better little model. Congrats guys on making a perfect little human!
I’ve been meaning to blog my travels during 2013 but it never quite happened, busy, busy. Today seems like a good day for it, it’s cold and snowy and cold. So lets look at some warm pictures from 2013.
I’ve always loved traveling and although I didn’t get to do a lot of it in the past, 2013 was definitely a travel year for me. Even “attempted” camping at Hocking Hill, thankfully there is no photographic proof of it. No actual sleeping in a tent happened either, sneaking Marlin (my pup) into a Motel was adventurous enough and definitely unforgettable!
The travel year started off in Las Vegas for WPPI (wedding and portrait photographers international). Knowing that later during the year I would be visiting the real Eiffel Tower I wanted to also see the “mini” version! Even went to the top of this one, although it was super scary. Tami, thanks for holding my hand! lol
At the beginning of May it was time for THE trip I’ve been patiently awaiting. Poland and France to be exact. I started in Poland, my homeland. This first image is my favorite from the trip! The white stork is seen throughout and is the unofficial bird of Poland. It was so exciting to see one especially with a baby in the nest. I remember always being mesmerized by the stork, as a little girl growing up in Poland. It was so big and massive but so dang pretty with that red beak and legs. It was cartoon like to me, my aunt even taught me how to draw one. Sometimes when I doodle (I like to doodle) it mysteriously shows up on the paper. The rest of the images are a small collection from different places I visited during the one week stay. Last 4 are from my hometown, Jaroslaw. I gorgeous city located in the southeast of Poland.
Then came France, what I’ve been waiting for. The reason for the entire trip in the first place was this wedding. And the second reason, the real Eiffel Tower. I’ve been fascinated by it since I first saw a picture my dad took of it many many years ago. Finally I got to see it myself, and it was everything I was hoping for. Magnificent! Didn’t end up going to the top but just being at the second level was everything I dreamed of! Some of the other places that I visited were Versailles, Normandy Beach and the cutest little town called City of Flowers, and even got to spent some time at a real French farm. The entire time felt like a movie, a FRENCH movie – hahaha! Even got to see some real bikers which, to me, was almost as good as the Eiffel tower since I’m a huge Tour de France fan.
I was trying to photograph the country side but landscape photographer I am NOT. Pet/animal is way more up my alley. So when a real FRENCH LAB was just laying on the sidewalk in Paris, how could I resist! The rest of my gorgeous animal friends lived on the farm that I visited. Yes, the goat name Dolly who though she was one of the dogs, was my other fav.
In June it was time for Florida, no real camera on this trip but this iPhone photo is one of my absolute favs. Sunset at Clearwater Beach, it doesn’t even look real.
Then in August it was my birthday time. This year, to celebrate the last year in the 30′s, I decided to go to the shore. The Jersey Shore of course!! My friend Sarah was nice enough to make this journey with me, it was different but we definitely had fun!
In September, a little safari right here in Ohio in the Amish country. Not too shabby for Ohio. If you didn’t notice, I love photographing animals.
Then finally in October I headed off to Myrtle Beach, to photograph a wedding. On the last day of my stay I woke up early to watch the sunrise. As I walk down to the beach I saw some surfers. I ran back up to my room to grab my camera and took some of these shots. The waves were huge, and the surfers were cool to photograph.
It truly was an amazing travel year!!! I’m very fortunate to have been able to enjoy the beauty of the world in 2013!
